We’ve all been there. You’ve had a long day of battling traffic, reaching deadlines, feeling your feelings, running around like a chicken with its head cut off, forgetting to breathe through it all – ENOUGH! There’s no need for you to hold on to all of that excess energy that you may have picked up along the way throughout your day. You deserve to tuck yourself into bed at night, close your eyes and feel like you can truly let the day come to an end, without repeating scenarios in your mind to lull you to sleep.

Sometimes we might even just feel stuck, stagnant or OFF. Trust those vibes, my friend. All those “not so pleasant” feelings come to alert you that something within your own energy is off. So how do we take care of ourselves amidst the world we live in?

There are 3 tools/ways that you can incorporate into your daily routine at any time you feel spacey, anxious, worried, restless or not like yourself. Simple, quick and so effective.

  1. Pause, Breathe, Be.
Something amazing takes place within our energy field when we allow ourselves the time to be still and quiet. This can be done on your break at work, sitting in your car or outside in nature, before bed or after you wake up, maybe before an important conversation or meeting, or at any time in your day that you can tune the world out for 3–5 minutes (if you have more time, that’s even better!) Simply focus on the subtle breeze at the tip of your nose with each inhale and each exhale. Or, focus on your belly muscles lifting and falling with every breath in, every breath out.
  2. Burn, baby, burn!
We’re talking about energy clearing with sage and palo santo to banish negativity and really bring home the good vibes! The science behind it? When burned, sage smoke releases ions that have been linked to positive mood boosts. In addition to being an excellent stress-reliever, burning sage and palo santo can be a powerful self-care practice. Intention is everything with this ritual, so before you light up, ask yourself what you’re trying to purify and/or heal from or release — in your space and in yourself. Smudging is a great way to create a new, pure space, and infuse it with your own positive thoughts and intentions.
  3. Release with Reiki Energy can stagnate in the body where there has been physical injury or possibly emotional pain. In time, these energy blocks can cause illness. Reiki works with the energy fields around the body to clear any blockages that may be occurring energetically as a result of stress, anxiety, mood issues, physical ailments. A reiki treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you, surrounding and enveloping you in an all-encompassing, universal energy that has the power to enhance your overall well-being.
