Relieve Stress with these 3 Easy Steps

Let's face it, we live in a world that moves so fast, always trying our best to get from point A to point B to point C all the way to Z without missing a beat!

Sometimes we can find ourselves lost in the day to day hustle and bustle that we forget that this life is actually such a gift! Not only that, but we are meant to ENJOY it!

So here are 3 easy steps you can do at any time during your day to shift you out of the autopilot of the day-to-day:

1) Be where your feet are.

Yep, that's the first step. Recognize where you are by taking in the surroundings around you. If your feet are at your desk, then be fully at your desk. If your feet are in your car, one foot is on the gas and the other is resting on the floor, be fully present on your drive or commute. If you look down and you see your feet are on a sandy beach -- then YAY! Be fully there at the beach. (Summer IS coming up soon you know?)

2) Breathe in for 3 seconds, breathe out for 5 seconds.

Then comes breath. Breath is our innate reminder that we are alive and well. And even if we don't feel well, we are ALIVE and we can shift out of a negative thought pattern by breathing with gratitude for all that we DO have.

Let's try it. Take a deep breath in for 3 seconds... now breathe out for 5 seconds. As you're breathing, let just one thing you're grateful for come to your mind. Before you know it you'll be listening off a grocery list of all that you are grateful for.

3) Get into your body.

We aren't all blessed with the ability to be at the gym, or exercise class or even in a massage for an hour EVERY day...
